I want a Quartz!

I need some help as my horizons are not so broad on quartz. I would like something fairly well built and not so cheap as to annoy me.

I am looking for the sporty, rugged type. I only own watches I will wear so I have to actually like it, and this one will be my swimming/cutting down trees/building stuff watch. As such probably a diver of sorts.

My dailies are a Longines BigEye and Nomos Metro. So I like the vintage vibe. The obvious choices of Brietling and GS are there, but I prefer something sub $1000.
