18038 Lume coming off.

Hi all,
I am more than a little bummed. Some lume has come off the dial on my 1987 18038. The watch has never been serviced so it is long past due. I have spoken to some friends who have Rolex and they have said the RSC in New York is the way to go. I’ll call them Monday to see what it all entails. I was hoping for some tips. I was going to take some pictures of the watch befor it is sent. I have added two links to the bracelet. Do I need to remove them? Any suggestions?
