My first Rolex ever. Oyster Perpetual -Date-

Hi!!First of all I want to say that im new here, im 25 years old, from Costa Rica. And since I was a teenager I really liked watches. 2 weeks ago I bought my first Rolex, its a 34mm 1500 OP Date for the serial number I think its from 1970. I bought it for $1200. I want to know if this champagne dial is rare or not? And if I payed the right money for it? Any thought about the watch?

Here is a couple of pictures, yesterday I put it some polywatch to the acrylic and the change was awesome, but i dont took it pics after.
