Finally Got My Grail

As a working stiff, I have been trying for years to buy a black face Sub. I get some money saved and something comes up. I have worn a SS 84 Datejust for a long time but was never really satisfied. I went to a local jewelry store that sold used Rolex and asked if he would take my Datejust in on trade, he said he would give my 2k for it and just happened to have a Sub date on hand that we could deal on. He wanted 7k for it with all the papers, box and it even had all the book and paperwork. with a huge bonus of the anchor and hang tags. I talked him down to 6800 out the door and with cash, trade and credit cards, I walked out with my new Sub. I can't stop looking at it and will wear it everywhere. Did I get enough for my Datejust? And did I pay too much for the Sub?
