Longines, "Les Grande Classiques de Longines" L4.686.2

Have been trying to find some history and details of this reference, would appreciate any information.

I've had this watch for quite awhile, never found out that much about it, but it is a beautiful dress watch, keeps excellent time, 18k gold. (Still have the original band, currently has a replacement OEM Longines strap)

I've looked around, but have found only 2 examples, one the SS version and not in English, and the other basically was a pic with no information after sale removed.

Some pics of the Longines, "Les Grande Classiques de Longines", L4.686.2
