Considering my first AP
Hi all,
As the title suggests, I'm considering buying my first AP and would love any input. My current and only watch is my Omega Seamaster PO. I'm not looking to get rid of it as I love it for everyday wear as well as wearing around the water and diving. However, I love everything about AP (design, history, quality, etc.) Currently I am trying to decide which AP to buy and I have it down to these three below (note: none of these photos are mine): Obviously there is about a $5k spread on the price tag which is worth considering. My issue with the diver at the moment is the fact AP is still using rubber crowns on it which i have heard that they wear down over time and I would really like this watch to look great for years to come. Any news on them releasing ceramic crowns like they have for so many other models? Given I already have a sporty Omega, this makes me lean towards the 15400 as it is iconic and would be easier to dress up vs my omega or other options. I'm also considering purchasing these in a "mint" condition (6 months old or less) with a warranty. Can anyone share any details regarding the 3-year warranty extension? Any advice or comments would be much appreciated! Last edited by PADI_Diver; 3 May 2018 at 09:46 AM.. Reason: Had to add detail regarding 3 year warranty question. |
