The Unexpected Rolex.........

Apologies for the long post,

I had sold my A series 16570 Explorer II and my Tudor Black Bay Eta Noir during the last two weeks hoping to replace them with either a Sub Date Ceramic or a GMT II Ceramic. After searching my local AD's (and the Not so local AD's) I came across a few candidates for my replacement watch. In the last two weeks I came across a Sub No Date, a Sub Date, a SeaDweller and 2 Black GMT II's... I was really hoping to find a BLNR because I really wanted one but no luck....While I was at work my wife had spoken to an AD down in South Carolina inquiring as to what they had available that I may like..They had told my wife that they had a Green Submariner available and she was excited that she had found a watch that might fit the bill for me. Well try as she may, they would not let her buy the watch and ship it here to Connecticut...so that left us both deflated. I then resigned myself to that I might have to wait a little while to get a watch that I wanted. As I researched more and more about the HULK it became interesting to me. So again, My wife (the best) started calling around during this past week to the AD's in Connecicut looking for the HULK and BINGO!... the AD had one....The watch the I was looking for...We immediately planned to make the trip to the AD on Saturday morning..... so here is my Unexpected Rolex........

We had planned to take the ride to the AD that had the HULK available...but before we left to travel upstate to get the HULK, my wife made one more call to the AD in my town just to check one last time before we made the hour ride to the dealer upstate..... He had nothing special except for a BLNR that he received on Friday morning !!!! Well needless to say, I now belong to the BLNR family!!! And I have my wife to thank for it!!!! Very happy!!
