First Rolex purchase
Hi everyone. Just joined the forum after months of looking and reading different posts. Thought it was about time I joined and posted my own.
I’m currently on a waiting list for the SS daytona which I’ve been told by my local AD will be about two years. I’m happy to wait for it but in the mean time I’m also down for a non date submariner which should be a matter of weeks now. I’ve never been in the position to be able to buy a Rolex but always loved them and luckily I can now look at possibly starting a small collection which is a dream come true. The other watch I love the look of is the GMT Batman (seems I want the ones everyone else wants) but sounds like a long wait for that too. My only concern is getting the submariner non date and then the gmt became available and I wouldn’t have the funds to get both unless one was done on 0% finance but do Rolex limit the amount you’re allowed to buy? Do you think going for the non date Sub is a good choice or wait for the gmt? I’m not the most patient person in the world but also can’t affford to pay the black market prices so have no choice but to wait for the ones I want. But I’m proper excited to get the call to say the Submariner is ready to collect. It’s a classic and always been a fan. Steve |
