GMT springbars don’t fit in 78360 bracelet

So I know this has been discussed here and there, but I bought a 78360 that I think was originally for an Oyster/datejust case. Consequently, the final link on the bracelet (through which the spring bar runs) is formed in such a way that the 2mm GMT spring bars do not fit through.

Is there a reliable way to make them fit, or a good substitute 1.8mm shoulderless spring bar? Should I just find a different bracelet? Using the flanged, thinner spring bars that fit the bracelet results in a sloppy fit and a decent amount of rattle.
