Incoming (snowflake - of sorts)
I'd been looking out for a this model for a while but finally found one in suitable condition (unused/unworn) and decided to go for it - it's the sbga129 limited edition snowflake, of which only 369 pieces were released a few years back. I went for this over the 211 for its size (39mm) and material (SS), though I've already changed the bracelet to a leather GS strap and deployant buckle I sourced online. (Not that I don't like the bracelet - I am planning to give that a run out sometime) Other notable differences to the 211 are obviously the grey second hand and red power reserve indicator, though as with the 211 the snowflake finish is stunning and the spring drive movement mesmerizing. Amazing accuracy too. I like what Seiko have done with the new clean GS dial designs/removing the Seiko logo, but equally like the old design so happy to have Seiko big and bold on the dial. The 72 power reserve also really makes a difference. I've seen others comment on this too, but I saw the new white/black Rolex OPs at my AD, and of course they are nice watches and if you have to have Rolex on the dial they're a no-brainer, but for me personally at a similar price point these GS models blow the competition out of the water....
