I wouldn't buy a watch as an investment. There are other things you can put your money into for a decent return in the medium to long term. If any consurer item I own, such as a watch gains value, then so be it. Nice bonus, but I buy my watches to enjoy owning them and to tell me the time. I would advise you to buy what you like and enjoy the hell out of wearing it.
As far as discounts go, I bought and Exp 2 Polar this January and got 5% off based on past relationship. I bought a Z-Blue from the same AD this week and couldn't get anything off. In the current climate, I consider that an OK result. We have this year bought a number of other things from this dealer and never failed to get a discount. It's a Rolex thing. |
