Hunting for a post 1990's Submariner
Hello all! I am considering picking up a Submariner. I've gotten some good advice on different references to consider. What I know is that I don't want something that is considerably older, but I think I may prefer the previous generation to the current ceramic.
While I like the idea of the tritium and the way at ages and patinas, I'm a prefer the Luminous indexes. Any recommendations for reference numbers, model years for range of years, whether getting something with box and papers is a necessity if I'm getting it from a reputable dealer who will guarantee its authenticity, if I should try to make sure that it's had a recent service, price range that would be reasonable or a steal, Etc? I'm heading to Tarrytown Jewelers in New York State now because they have a handful of no date and date references to take a look at. Anybody know of them and their reputation? Thank you in advance!
