Help me, help my buddy decide

So a good friend of mine wants to make a purchase. He is looking at 3 different time pieces. He was looking at getting the new Tudor GMT. He also likes the Tudor Chronograph as well. I think there is just a few hundred dollar difference between the two. Which one would you get and why? Correct me if I’m wrong, but the chronograph runs a Zenith movement right? If so, is that similar to the movement that ran in the old Daytona’s?

So let me as one more thing to this, be also likes the black dial Explorer II. I think he is a little hung up on the price jump between the Tudor’s and the Rolex. Would you spend the extra to get that instead. Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks all....
