Just a Rolex bracelet? AD reason saying no

Enjoying the new 126231 Datejust TT In Everose 18ct gold/SS 36mm! Went into my AD to see if I could buy the jubilee bracelet to go along with the oyster bracelet that came with my new watch. They said they won’t just sell me the bracelet, and that Rolex requires that I send mine back to them and buy a whole new one. This means that I’d have to forefeit the value of mine, and buy a new one. Their reasoning was that people are buying fake watches and want to fit their fake cases with real bracelets, which I think is BS.

1.) is that Rolex AD bologna
2.) If it’s true, do I get a pro-rated deal for giving them mine
3.) love both bracelets, just want to add a jubilee. Can it be sourced privately?

Thanks all!!
