Here’s my advice for next time in widespread flooding, turn around . Hence the term flash flood....

Although from your pics that doesn’t seem to be very deep at that time , but things change very fast .

As for ignoring the “ not an Officer “ , well sure in these incidents they get tied up quickly, and you may have a volunteer FF in street clothes , Joe from the highway Dept, who,knows helping out .
