FS: Rolex Explorer II Black 16570 A series Swiss only dial
*Relisting because deal with buyer did not go through*
I bought this beauty from a collector in NY few months back and love it. It has the rare Swiss only dial and lug holes. However it is a bit large for my small wrists so it has to go. Some background The Explorer II needs no introduction. It is legendary and has accompanied explorers to extreme environments. This one, however, has lived a pampered life but has few swirls and light scratches that are quite unnoticeable to the naked eye. The luminova glows nicely, sapphire crystal, deep gloss black dial and 18ct gold markers make this a classic that can be dressed up or down. This beauty is powered by a Rolex 3185 that runs within COSC (on my wrist). No service records included but all factory specs check out nicely on my Timegrapher. Details Rolex Explorer II Ref. 16570 Year: Circa 1999 Serial No: A270892 Dimensions: 40mm diameter; 12mm thickness, lugs: 20mm Bracelet: original 78790 with 501B non-solid end links. Sized for a 7.0” wrist and comes with one extra link. Box, brochures, and cleaning cloth: Yes Price: $4950 FIRM (does NOT include Shipping/Paypal fees). For reference, this model is selling currently for $5500-$6500. References: in WUS I have dealt with Strappedwatchco and on TRF with geoxue and dbdbdb. Both transactions around the $2k mark. Also famous Rik Dietel has serviced some of my watches. On eBay I am camilos_garage with plenty of solid feedback. |
