Looking for suggestions. Nikon/DSLR lens choice

Currently have a very modest setup I bought very cheap. It works fine for me, but I struggle with the longer end. Camera is a Nikon D3300. Only 2 lenses I have are a 35mm f/1.8 and a Sigma 17-70mm C.

I'm not looking to spend much on upgrading, but I'm thinking of selling the Sigma and getting something like a 24-120mm or something similar. Anyone have experience with the Nikon version or maybe the Sigma 24-105mm? I usually buy my gear used as well.
