Diamond vs Batons

So if there was not a 2k premium on diamond dials and they were the same price as a baton dial would you get the diamond dial? I like diamond dials myself for certain models especially the Datejust line. Love the serti sub also. I just don’t believe the dials are worth a 2k premium. That being said when paying 10k for a watch get what you want. So if it’s diamonds get it. Just wondering why most on TRF don’t prefer diamond dials and they are super soft on the second hand market.
