What in size?
The movement for base models is 16½ lignes big. (1 ligne = 2.5558mm)
The automatic movements is sized 13¼ lignes. So automatic movement is smaller so there are 40mm models available for them. Now there are only 44mm Luminor manifattuira range models. The movements (except for tourboillion) are sized 13¾ lignes! Wee bit bigger than automatics. If Panerai intended for inhouse to be for 44mm only then they'd have more room to design their movement. That got me wondering... |
