Dial Swap on 116334 DJ II
I wanted to post a question across TFR vs only on the WatchTech area. As the subject indicates, it concerns swapping the dial on a DJ II (116334) for a different color factory dial...(white to blue).
I found a really good deal from a reputable source on a DJ II but I want a different color dial. If I buy the watch and save ~$2k, and then have the dial changed, would the watch be considered a Frankenstein because it is now NOT in the configuration that it left the factory? All 116334s are the same model number, but when the watch leaves the factory, is the Serial Number recorded with the specific details...dial color? I plan to keep the watch but my concern is when I send for servicing, will the RSC refuse to service OR send back in original configuration and charge me for new dial before returning to me?? Tks in advance for info / facts / thought! |
