Vintage watch wear

I have an Explorer 6150 from 1953. My daily wear is a 16710 GMT II ‘Coke’ from 1999. I occasionally wear the Explorer and would probably wear it more often but am a bit scared in case something breaks or goes wrong with the A296 movement. Could Rolex fix a movement of that age if something did go wrong? What do others do with watches of this age - wear them all the time or just occasionally or never and keep them in the safe?

Thanks for your advice.
