i think it is highly likely that greys aren't getting the same discounts on PM watches they used to. however they aren't paying retail either.
what's interesting about a watch like the 116619 is the price hasn't increased since its release in 2008. and arguably the price for a decent used set has been around 25k for a comparable time. i guess slowly slowly but we are seeing price pressure on PM for the first time in a decade (if not more). i personally think it is an ok time to buy because possibly: - about to have a PM price change - australian PM prices (RRP) are significantly lower than US prices and so that needs adjusting (due to currency fluctuation) - increasing demand as they look like a good buy relative to stainless prices. |
