Looking at the SKX013 - one problem
I don't believe I'll wear it frequently enough for a movement that does not have hacking or hand winding. On the occasions I do wish to wear it I believe this will create enough of an inconvenience that I won't want to deal with it.
The past couple of days I've gone down the whole "mod" rabbit hole on the web. Artifice Horoworks will sell you one that has been modded right out of the gate, but there are enough negative reviews of them floating around that I've crossed that off the list as a possibility. Two things on my mind currently: 1)finding a suitable alternative that does have hacking/hand winding (willing to go up in price some), 2)going ahead with the SKX013 and trying to find a local watch repair shop that can do the modding for me. The SKX013's big draw for me is the size. Looking for 40 at the absolute most, preferably smaller, not massively thick and not too long lug to lug. Thoughts? Any input is appreciated. |
