OMEGA Seamaster 300M Mid-Size (36mm) Chronometer
I'm quite a newbie here and don't know much about watches but I do love them! Anyway, I just want to share a piece that I am currently wearing.
The watch is over 15 years old and was passed down from my dad as my 14th birthday present. I had it for about six years now. To me, the watch holds a strong sentimental value as it reminds me of my father every time I look at the watch. To date, the watch is still working in perfect condition despite having to manually wind it if not worn for a day (Does Power Reserve go down as the watch ages?). It gains roughly a minute a week (is this really bad?) but is still a fine piece of mechanical watch that keeps relatively accurate time. The luminescent bits doesn't glow in the dark anymore apart from the dot on the bezel because it has been replaced about four years ago (the blue colour on the bezel faded). The watch is really tough in my opinion and it has endured a lot of beating. I am at university and wear it continuously including when I go out clubbing and stuff. The bracelet is also really comfortable and secure. I wish my dad has bought a full size one since I have a big wrist but I'm fine with this guy. Actually I love this watch so much and wouldn't trade it for anything. Thanks for reading! Ben p.s. sorry about the bad photography, it was a cloudy day and i used a point and shoot camera |
