Can I have a shoulder to cry on???
As of this week, my Rolex watches will be gone.
The Daytona is sold, and my Submariner has a pending offer. And the Datejust I wanted? Not right now. Gone too are the tube amplifiers and our "never gonna sell 'em" speakers. My wife needs the money for her start-up business. A little background: I moved across the country in order to get a better paying job, so that she could quit her day job and just focus on her business. Don't get me wrong, I was happy to do it. I adore my wife. Naturally, I didn't hesitate to put everything up for sale when she asked. I know how hard it was for her to make that request of me. Of course, if the business takes off, I'll be able to replace these things. But it stings a little, as you all can imagine. I happen to like the feeling of seeing a Rolex on my wrist...it makes me smile. OK, I'm done whining. And thank you for your ear.
