Went into local AD...
I walked into one of the ADs in the mall this weekend was looking for a piece for my wife. I started talking watches with the guy and explained that it’s been so hard to find anything for myself because no AD has any decent models up for grabs (and no waiting lists) he promised that “if I buy the TT DJ 36 for my wife, they will put a note on my profile for some exclusive pieces”
I find this hard to believe as I can imagine people spend tons of $$ and definitely have priority for those pieces (sky dweller TT, GMT, sea dweller, etc.) Do you guys think he’s full of it and just trying to get me to buy something? Or genuinely saying that I’ll be considered for something (this was manager btw) and I also mentioned that I heard you need to spend big bucks to get anything decent to which he replied “not necessarily” Is it worth it to spend extra $$ on a not so desirable piece to be promised some sort of hope? |
