All Right Friends..IT'S HERE!! One big HUNK O' GOLD!
Who says Christmas only happens once a year!
I got to unwrap this new beauty and it's not the 25th of December. Many of you read I was kind of looking for a new YG sport model Rolex. It's ALL David (DSJ) and Terry's (Terry Newton) fault. They had to invite me on the Minneapolis get together and when we went to the AD, I tried on a YG GMTIIc. I went into a fog, I think people were talking to me but all I can remember was basking in the glow of all that GOLD. It was a mesmerizing experience. I awoke to find I had an irresistible urge to have one of my own. I wasn't prepared to spend $25.5K at the AD so I have been searching around the globe for the past several weeks. There had been several offered for sale and at first all I wanted to look at was the black dial. I had never seen the green 50th anniversary in person so I wasn't sure if I would like it and wasn't about to spend this kind of coin without seeing one. I went to another AD locally a few days back and found a green dialed GMT. It was equally as beautiful so I decided which ever colored dial I found first I could make a deal on would be fine with me. There was a 99% new "Z" 50th Anniversary I found in California. It still had the stickers on it as the original owner never even took them off. He bought it on impulse while on vacation in Dec.2008. He got home and never took it out of the safe. He decided he preferred to have an AP instead and traded it in to an AD. I spent a few weeks dancing around with the manager trying to make a deal and we finally struck one. So without further ado, Here it is. Sorry for the crappy pics but a photographer I am not. A camera doesn't do it justice..Oh what a beauty!
