Sea-Dweller baseback...when did they start printing
Does anybody know when Rolex started printing the nomenclature on the Sea-Dweller caseback, verses the older 16660 which had the caseback lettering recessed & then painted?
Did Rolex ever use the recessed engraving/stamping on the 16600 caseback? I think I remember seeing pictures of older 16600's w/ the recessed lettering, but cannot seem to find the post. If the letters were recessed at some point, does anybody know what serial prefix switched to the printed-only caseback? thanks.
