Does anyone want to talk Tudor Chronos??
Hi all,
Hope this isn't the wrong place to go but I'll exercise my "idiot newbie" status and give it a shot. Dan P. was kind enough to give me a crash course today but I've still got a few questions; I think I've got an idea about the 79160,79170,79180 series and maybe the 792.. series but what's the difference between those and the 792..P models? What's the deal with the TIGERS (facts and general opinions both wanted)? What is the next generation after the P's ? Does any of the Tudor Jubilee bracelets have a fliplock? I think they are all 40mm in diameter but which series has the thinnest cases? And finally (well maybe not) my biggest question; what kind of parts/service issues might I have here in the states. I know Rolex USA is not always the most accommodating group. My big confession is that this watch will be for my wife. She likes big watches and wants a chronograph. She loves the oyster bracelet on my 16710 GMT which she hijacked and wears regularly but I thought the Tudor Jubilee might be more feminine. I'm a little worried about the thickness so a "big block" might not be a good choice. I'm also concerned about a plastic crystal or high polished bezel as I think she's rough on watches. Any info or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Here's the obligatory pics; These are the last two pieces she picked up when she went shopping in my watch box. And this one is a mid-size I bought her a few years ago to keep her out of my watch box. Best, Mike |
