Need Advice on Used Rolex
I located a used rolex for my wife, a SS oyster perpetual, no date, blue face, 2002 for $1500. It is in near new condition. I can tell that it's been worn, but it appears nearly new. The part I am uneasy about is, no box and no papers. The seller guarantees full authenticacy and is willing to meet me at a jewelry store of my choice for further authentication.
It seems odd to me that there is no box. I have no reason to believe it is stolen based on conversations with the seller, but I'm not sure how I would know for sure. I don't want to take a chance so my question is, any way i can search or determine whether it is stolen? I am attracted to this watch b/c it is perfect for my wife and is of a price point that works for me. Much more than this asking price, and i am out of the market for a rolex. This is my first post and I am a novice relative to rolex, so any advice would be appreciated. I do have a jeweler i know and trust, he is excellent, though not a rolex dealer. He sells used ones and knows the product well, just not an authorized svc sales store. thx |
