You have a great watch, enjoy it. If the watch was previously serviced, it most likely has been polished up a bit. The never polish mantra has only been a fairly recent phenomenon chanted by owners that want everyone to believe that they have been owners of a decades old watch when the vast percentage have been owners for a few months. Your dial and hands look original to me and they have great patina.
