Incoming!
The tracking number has been posted, so my desire to "not jinx this" is still pretty high, but decreasing.
So..... Incoming! I traded my AP ROO Rubberclad for an AP ROO Bumblebee The Rubberclad was my first AP - and I loved it! It unfortunately has gotten to the point where I will not keep a watch if there is any issue - and my eyes have gotten to where the lume hands were not sufficient contrast on a silver dial for me to be easily able to read the watch. I've already ordered a super cheap no-name eBay pin buckle so I can wear the watch on original hornback asap - the AP deployant is so uncomfortable on me. And, I'm almost certain I'm going to try to get the yellow diver strap from AP in Clearwater. As a separate note on the whole watch re-sale world right now: It's a MESS!!!!!! The few watches that are "hot" are the few currently holding value. Everything else is worth pennies on the many dollars that they cost. (Of note, re: AP, multiple dealers said "RO is moveable, ROO not so much") If you try to trade, expect most dealers to totally low-ball. Sure, I understand they are taking a risk with any trade/purchase that they will sit on the watch unsold, but some of the offers are staggeringly low. Trying to sell as a private party is no easier. I have had 3 folk so far try to scam on a different watch I'm trying to sell. All 3 "spoofed" a real, known watch seller. And, all scumbags disappeared when I asked to see pictures of the watch they had with current time/date confirmation. |
