1988 DJ 16233 questions

Hi guys, it seems there are two styles of hour markers on these tapestry dial DJs. The more rectangular style and the tapered stick style. Does anyone know what year the change took place? It seems the rectangular style is on the older 16013s and early 16233s. Anyone has more info on this?

Also the datewheel on my 88 DJ is white, I’ve seen some that are champagne/gold in color. Is that just the aging process or that’s the original color from factory?
