The one that got away...

Had a chance to purchase a PAM 28, B series with box and papers for $2200 from a lady that had lost her job and was selling her husband's watch. I went and met her with the cash and passed on the deal because she insisted that the watch was one year old, but the B serial is circa 1999. This made me nervous enough not to go through with the transaction.

The next day she called me and apologized and said that she had that watch mixed up with a Breitling that her husband was also selling that was one year old. She said she purchased the PAM at an AD in 1999. I called the AD and verified the purchase and then called her but she had already sold the watch.

ARGH!!!
