Rounding out a collection, for now
Current collection
SD4K (first son's birth year) YM 116622 blue (second son's birth year) AP ROC panda (my FU piece. Maybe a bit too flashy?) Seamaster NYC edition (spent 4 years in NYC, both kids born there, but I rarely wear it) 1603 linen dial datejust (cheap, vintage cool) Hesalite speedmaster (forever keeper. Always worn on casual leather. Don't have a bracelet so not worth selling) Grand Seiko snowflake sgba011 (discrete WIS piece. I love the finishing and under the radar vibe) I have a trinity peice. A couple of chronos. A blue dial. A few steel sports references. Black dials. White dials. A couple of dressier options. The Grand Seiko is a great stealth WIS piece... I don't wear suits much so don't need formal dress watches. Happy to wear the 1603 with a t shirt though. Collection feels balanced with the exception of a GMT... But given I do not wear lots of the watches very often I'm reluctant to simply add a GMT without a trade. Question is, adding say $15k to this mix what would you do? I'm thinking I really need a GMT for a balanced collection but don't like paying the premium (I have no problem with grey, most of my watches are bought from trusted sellers here, just don't like the 2x premium). Maybe Vacheron 7900 dual time and trade the 1603? Maybe a BLNR jubilee for 15k ish? Maybe trade the AP, 1603, NYC seamaster and grand Seiko for something in the $45k area perhaps and consolidate? What hasn't gone ballistic that would make sense to trade into while keeping a rounded collection?! Help me before my head explodes :) No waitlist at AD please. Grey only as I am market price kinda guy with no relationships. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
