Oysterquartz bracelet comfort
5-digit reference Oyster bracelets have never gotten along with my wrist. The clasp is never centered, and so the watch always wants to pull away from the center of my wrist. Current-generation Rolex bracelets are fine, because an extra link can be removed from the 6 o'clock side.
Now I'm looking at a Oysterquartz 17014 with a Jubilee-type bracelet. The Oysterquartz bracelets are uniquely awesome and don't look like they will wear the same as a regular 5-digit bracelet. My question is for those who are familiar with both regular 5-digit DateJust bracelets and Oysterquartz bracelets: does this same non-centered problem exist? The problem that makes 5-digit owners do things like pull permanent links off of their bracelets to make them comfortable? Basically I'm trying to decide between a 126234 (which I have tried on and I know will be comfy, especially with the new Easylink Jubilee) or a 17014, which is less expensive and very cool-looking, but of uncertain comfort. Thanks in advance!!! |
