Just found this club - so glad to see there's a place for the Tudor appreciators to gather

A few moody test shots with a recent new lens pickup and my BBB ETA.

Hey Guys!!!

Been looking unsuccesfully for a Rolex Pepsi GMT on Jubilee just like the many millions and their grandmas. Only problem is both my ADs are no longer in existence.

So what to do? Build a new relationship. Being an airline pilot, I have the luxury of searching all over the world and found an awesome AD (hospitable, patient, humble and friendly). He listened to me and did not give me grief about being on a list.. I decided to build a relationship with him and to give him my DeepSea to service (sent to DFW RSC-10 week turnaround watch looks and feels fantastic) . My DayDate is next.

The AD put me on the Pepsi GMT Jubilee Rolex list and I noticed how awesome the TUDOR Black Bay GMT Pepsi looked. I thought it would be easy to buy and I asked him if I can buy it. He kind of laughed and said there is a waiting list for that also. WTH!!!!?? I asked him to put me on the list for I immediately fell in love with the look and price. The Tudor just looks more rare, I have never seen it before. WOW! He put me on the list and-

Fast forward 8 weeks (yesterday), he called me!! The Pepsi Tudor in stainless is in and mine if I want! I bought it and he ordered me a canvas strap from Tudor as a gift. Delivery date is set for when I get home. I can't wait to see this thing.

I had to post this because I wanted to share my excitement.

Cant wait to get and post pics!

Well done, Aldo!!

The most logical advice found on TRF is do not settle, with which I completely agree. I’ve owned and adored my 16170 for over a decade, still do. But the Tudor GMT won me over for many reasons. Thoroughly enamored with the Tudor. There's room in any collection for both a Rolex & Tudor GMT. So if you land (insert rim shot here) a Rolex anytime during your future travels you can always add to your collection. But you might find that itch is already scratched.

Some beautiful photos. I like how the matte dial can change its character, appearing much darker and more brilliant at an angle. Versatile beauty, can't wait to pick one up.
