Extremely torn between 2 datejusts
I am torn and extremely undecided between 2 datejusts.
36mm fluted bezel with the jubilee bracelet in either silver or the blue stick dial. I have an approximate wrist circumference of 7 inches Any opinions or people who were in the same boat? |

I have a silver. It is more versatile, in my opinion.

When you say silver and blue I assume you mean dials, so I say go for blue. But then I love blue dials.

I love silver, I think silver dials are gorgeous. You may want to try on in person. Silver may make the watch look bigger as well.

Blue is a bit bolder. Silver a bit more under stated. Both are great so up to your personal preference.

Silver all of the way. The changes it makes in different lighting are incredible!

36mm on a 7 inch wrist is way too small. DJ41 at minimum.

Blue stick dial is more desirable in my opinion.

I have DJ41 in silver and blue dial. Both looks great and you can’t go wrong with either one.

Wrist watches also used to be for poor people and the pocket watch was prestigious. Times have changed. The 36mm on a 7 inch wrist is small and a bit dated looking. imho Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

This. Go rhodium stick with jubilee. I personally don’t like smooth but in this configuration it looks great. But id get fluted just because it’s a Rolex and the fluted is Rolex imo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

For me, in my opinion and not because “poor people” prefer them, the DJ 41s look bloated and over sized. I’d go for the 36 (and believe me, there are some awesome looking 41s, they’re just so damned bloated, to my eyes). And I have a SS/PL YM, so I’d go for the blue! But, OP, you go for what you want. Your heart won’t lie. And you can always add to your collection later. |

What other watches, specifically other dial colors, do you have in your collection? If you have a lot of dark dials (black and blue) I would probably recommend the silver as a good complement to the others. However, if this will be a one and only, I would suggest the blue.

If you buy the blue dial, down the road you'll probably wonder if you should have purchased the silver. If you start with silver....well, you an see where I'm going here.
Both are equally beautiful so It's your call (And always has been) all the way. Good luck Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk |

I'm in the same boat (though I'm thinking jubilee/smooth bezel combo). It also depends on what else you have in your collection. I've got all dark dials so in my case, silver makes more sense. I also think between the two, silver is a bit (by a hair) more versatile. Now if they made the 36 with a rhodium dial, no brainer.
I also tend to agree with jstan9 that for some reason, the 41 just looks a bit bloated in the DJ. And I wear 40mm watches...but for some reason, the DJ41 just looks bigger. |

Think you should at least get 41m, 36m think is too small for you.
Would worry less about color since you'll probably join the watch craze and add more after the first. But if really only one watch, silver. If more than one watch, blue to stand out more among the collection. |
