To me its hard to compare a solid gold DD with a SS DJ. While the new DJ 36 with jubilee is a super watch. I actually own two. I would always prefer a new model DD 36 in yellow gold with the champagne stick if the situation allowed me to wear it all the time. From a use stand point the DJ would get far more wrist time.

I have the DJ but the DD is my grail. I'm satisfied with the DJ for now but hope to add a DD one day, it'll be my end piece.

They work well in different situations. If I had TT diamond dial DJ, then I probably could get by without ever getting a DD and have spent less than half the $. I would be happy with only a DJ. I have a DJII and DD40, and in different environments I wear one or the other. If I could choose only one I would keep the DD, but so many great configurations on the DJ , both are eternal.

Cosign! WG DD is an end grail type of piece for me as well.

I side with a DD just because it has the president bracelet .

If you prefer the DJ, great! I think the new DJ36 is a near perfect watch. The PM of the DD, the bracelet and day function put it over the DJ for me though.

Sure, peoples tastes don't necessarily follow logic. It's not my choice but who knows how others are driven!!!

Doesn’t matter how popular the sentiment is.
If you like it, then that’s that.

I’d prefer the dd for the complication- aside from a gmt I had all my watches had a date complication other than the explorer and milgauss. I just want something different.

[[email protected];10083704]Better for you? Angles can make a difference.

General rule is lugs shouldn't extend over the wrist, which it doesn't for me. Ultimately doesn't matter because it's my watch, and I wear what I want.

I couldn't agree more. I would never consider making a critical statement with regards to a choice someone else made. The world is full of negativity, so best to ignore the negative and focus on the nice things in life, like enjoying this hobby.

Is it possible to more drawn to the DJ than the DD?

I own a DD36 and a DJ41. I can say the DD is in a different league of it’s own but I don’t wear it because I live in a hot and humid state and my wrist swells throughout the day. I don’t like to wear my watches loose so for me having the easy link is a major plus on the DJ41 . For that reason alone I can see why some would choose the DJ. A DJ two tone diamond dial on jubilee is super flashy, not as much as a DD but for under 15k it’s hard to beat for wrist presence. But imo the DD will always be the King. I just wish they would find a way to make the easy link available for it without the new clasp.
