Damn!
i did not grow up in a rich family but my parents made sure that my sister and I get the education we needed to survive in life. and one of my dreams when i was growing up was to own a rolex. Now i own 3 and everytime i look at my rolex it gives me that feeling of "Damn! I can't believe i own a rolex!" specially now that i have an SS daytona and looking at it's beauty i just can't help saying to myself... "Damn! I can't believe i own a rolex!"
do you experience that too?

yup...
having one (let alone 3) does indeed give the "oh what a feeling" sense. Not sure if i'd say, "damn" (but you've got 3) but maybe would use the word, "EEYowee ! "

Damn! Damn! Damn! I still can't believe it either. Having worked and earned it, I think it is natural to be in awe of it. Rolexes are beautiful.

Chenx15, I know what you mean. I have wanted a Rolex for over 40 years and now have two!!! Everyday I look at my watch just to look at it and forget to see what time it is and then have to look at it again. Sometimes I just have to pinch myself to make sure I'm in reality. It's always nice to realize a dream coming true!!!

I feel the exact same way! I used to dream of owning just one, but my trio just blows me away. I am so so fortunate....in many ways! And no, I am not 'rich' either.

Yes, kind of. When I was young (teenage years), a Rolex to me was unattainable. After securing my BA degree and securing a pretty good job in the technology industry, that outlook changed. As you said, a good education helped a lot.

Hell yes, I will say Damn I see a Rolex on my wrist. Especially now that the market is going to hell. Lost 75K since Nov. At least I know my Rolex is safe on my wrist and is not depreciating.
Cheers to all those who have contemplated and made the jump to purchase a nice watch. |
