How long to wait?

Just curious,
when you guys buy a new watch and it comes with that infamous tag that says "if tag removed, watch cannot be returned", how long do you wait before cutting the cord? A day?, a week?
And how do you test the watch during that time?
For me, I usually give it a few days to test accuracy, and see what the timeograph says (and to see if I really like the thing).
How about you?

Your comments are always greatly appreciated.

If I bought it, I’m wearing it. Tags removed after purchase.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm.... I only buy it with the intention of wearing it etc. All tags are off and it's part of the family at that point. If it's a new watch it's backed by the manufacturer warranty.

I remove them before I am out the store.

I check the watch accuracy by seeing how many seconds it has gained or lost at bedtime for a few days. If it’s less than a minute deviation over a week then it’s good to go.

Didn't even know this existed. I have a colleague who does that with clothing... Not my cup of tea.

Part of the process of buying the watch is preparing the purchase. Never had a second thought once purchased.

If they write your name on the warranty card, it’s yours
