Get a BLRO on your wrist for $8.90 - well, sort of...
Skating through a news aggregator site today, the word Rolex caught my attention. The site I was pointed to is businessoffashion.com
The article talks about apps such as Rally and Otis and online other businesses that allow the “ordinary consumer” to buy a slice of a cultural artefact. There have historically been collectives that allow you to buy a share of a boat or luxury car. Now watches, fine art or sneakers. Rolex is approaching peak insanity, so now you can own a piece of a watch. 134 people purchased a share of a “Pepsi Jubilee” for around $8.90 a share valuing the watch supposedly at $17,000. Then you timeshare it. Madness. |

So they get to wear the watch for about 2 days a year? How does the shipping of the watch to the next person work? What if someone just did a runner with it?

It seems to be more common amongst the newer generations. Ride sharing instead of taxis, house sharing instead of hotels, but watch sharing instead of......owning a watch? Odd to say the least.
That's the logical end point surely |

Technically already there... heard from a younger pt in the ER stated she’s not in a “relationship, she only had a half BF”... so I had to inquire about this, basically goes with a “half BF/GF” means you can mess with whoever you want because you’re not in a “full relationship”... Younger generation today, I shake my head at. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
