You're late on the LVC prediction. According to several reliable sources of mine, those sources being ADs, the Explorer II is history as well as the anniversary Submariner. The last ones will be delivered until the supply is gone. Get 'em if you can find 'em...all you flipper hounds!

The sub is dead. All of them. Rolex is tired of all the whining, decides to just rip the scab off with the band-aide.

Attended the local village fete a month or so back and had a session with the enigmatic fortune teller Madame Omeganova.

Madame O believes the following will happen in the Rolex world during 2020;

Submariner - New movement introduced along with revised dial and bezel colours.

DateJust - Celebrates it's 75th birthday in 2020 so a limited edition in full PM will be made available.

GMT Master - With many ladies now having a liking for something bigger than the traditional 31 or 34mm, those extra mm's are apparently very important, Rolex who are never one to miss an opportunity are going to introduce a 37mm GMT MII, watch will be TT with a 24 hour bezel matching the colour of the PM but with light and dark shades for the day/night.

GMT Master - Batman - Returning to an Oyster bracelet to differentiate it from the Pepsi and also get rid of the silly 'Batgirl' nickname which Rolex believes is holding back sales.

Daytona - With people apparently willing to pay double MSRP Rolex has decided to increase their mark-up on the Daytona by 75% and the MSRP accordingly.

The OP and Explorer line up will not be touched, their turn will be in 2021.

These are the predictions of the well respected fortune teller Madame Omeganova.

As for me, well there will be a drop in the prices at Grey outlets for the 'Unobtainable' SS watches. This will ease the pressure on AD's very very slightly but this decline in grey prices will continue as the bubble starts to contract.

And, I believe that the Submariner range will be updated, the 3235 movement is the obvious upgrade but unsure about the longevity of the Hulk.

Oh you can have so much fun with predictions.

Submariner SMURF gets a ‘Sunburst’ blue dial

Seadweller SD43 loses red lettering and previous becomes an investment peice

18kt full yellow Gold ‘Hulk’ is released

Print these out as I was the only person to predict the Tudor Black Bay GMT

Don’t even mention the Pelagos GMT coming

Hulk stops being a Sub and becomes based on either DSSD or SD43.

36mm Sub in RG with red and black bezel.

SS Cellini with date and cyclops

YMII adds a version in 48mm

Yes these are all ridiculous but have the same chance of being true as any other prediction.

I hope Rolex doesn’t remove the red. It’s the only think really separating the color scheme from the Sub Date. It would effectively be the Sub Date’s supersized brother and imo would cause the SD43 to have the same fate as the SD4k did at retailers, limited demand.

But do you not think the SD43 size is what truly sets it apart, as opposed to the SD4K 116600? Then there's the case shape, no supercase and thinner lugs, compared to the Sub 116610.

I would have bought my SD43 even without the red text, because I wanted a larger Sub without the supercase.

I don’t think the size is too big of a differentiator because there is also the new 126660 DSSD. That wears surprisingly small with the new bracelet proportions, had greater technical feats (depth rating and alternate Glidelock), and same 3235 movement as the SD43. It’s one I think many collectors will give a second look once trying on in the new proportions. Imo it makes the SD43 obsolete in the price range unless one needs a cyclops. The historical red text was imo what set it apart. The Sub wears closer to a 42mm and really not a whole lot smaller on the wrist than the new DSSD, that’s just thicker. Here’s mine on my 7.5 inch wrist and plenty big imo. The size increase to the DSSD is needed to accommodate greater depth rating. Rolex has already shown they can get 4K depth in a smaller package so technically speaking seems almost a step back the SD43, just my opinion though. Red text on a Sub and the line would be 10 years long. We’ll see what the SD43 does without if that happens. Glad you like yours though as I do think it’s a great watch!

Almost certainly more dial options for the new DJ/DD 36.

Probably new dial options for the OP range as well. Perhaps even a new, slimmer case for OP36, just like the new DJ36? Apart from the different lug finish, the old DJ36 and current OP36 share the same case blueprint, am I right? If so, it makes sense that the OP36 gets the new, leaner case as well.

It's also very likely to see the new movement being introduced to the Submariner, probably first in a precious metal variant. Also likely that this comes with a change to the proportions, marking the new generation of design. The Maxi-case has been around long now and is due for a change.

This is what I’m thinking is likely to happen, plus some other novelties/variants on existing pieces that are pretty much impossible to predict.

We can call it the 116615 LN or 126715 LN (if it has a new movement).

Edit: this one is with no date, so model 114065 or 124065.

My wishlist for the next generation Submariner: Slimmer lugs, slimmer crown guards and a matte ceramic bezel insert. Case proportions somewhere in between the old 14060/16610 and the Maxi.

A matte insert would further distance it from the GMTs, and would look absolutely awesome on a Sub.

Definitely expect to see a new Sub movement.

Past time for TT RG Daytonas, isn't it? I'd buy one for my wife tomorrow.
