Which is preferred 42mm submersible?

I know the 42mm size isn’t particularly favoured for panerai but it’s a nice size for me and I do like the look of the submersible- very different to my other watches.
I note that there are a number of options now, black bezel, metal bezel, blue and grey, green and even carbontech and wondered what was people’s preferred option?

I had a 682 with a display back.
Prefer the p.9010 inhouse movement.

I think an all-metal bezel looks better on the Submersible.

I'm an owner of a 682 with solid case back which drew lots of compliments since owning it for 2 months. I luv its size n look. I felt we shud not restrict ourselves to sizes of at least 44mm n above. This watch is certainly one of my favourite.

Yes I think I agree that the metal bezel looks nicer. It’s a bit surprising how often the 682/973 has changed. I think I’d prefer an in house movement but the smaller height is more wearable imo.
I like the look of the 1055 but not sure green would be easy to wear.

682 is much more versatile,I’d go with green dial if I already have other dial colors

Personally I’ve tried 382,911 and the new 1940s green but I just don’t love it as much as I had hoped for and that means no go in my book

gotta be the 682. call me a snob but since they took “luminor” off the dial I’m not interested.

I like all the 42mm subs -- but love my 682 with display back and P.9010. Perfect size, comfortable on the wrist, great design -- and an excellent companion to a Submariner.

I was looking for a more wearable, everyday PAM, so the 42mm submersibles ticked all the boxes for me. I tried on the 682, 683, and the new version of the 682 (can't remember the number). I debated back and forth between the 682 and 683, but personally, I really liked the thinner profile of the new breed and thought the black bezel gave it a bit more pop.
