Rolex Explorer Luminous #s

If someone knows which year the Rolex Explorer 214270 MK2 was introduced with the luminous 3, 6, and 9 I'd appreciate the info.
Thanks,
David.

White gold 3-6-9 in 39mm comes with those small t-rex hands, so full lume is an easy choice by a mile. Btw, market prices support that view, MK1 model trades with a significant discount to the updated MK2 model.

it was the same hands used for the 36mm version. I would stay away from MK1 OP, it's just an ugly duckling unlikely to turn into a valuable collectible.

Well, ugly-ish to me - sure, but as we all know ugly, hated and heavily discounted Rolexes sometimes become best investments ever. I'm thinking of sunburst dials and daytonas:)
