I've seen this advice here before and I think it makes the most sense. Find yourself an AD or reseller that has a good stock of new and old models, including hard to find SS models. Try them on and figure out which you like the best.

The thing is if you go to a mainstream AD you will not a get a decent selection to choose from. But I do think it's important to try on as many different models as you can.
