Opinions on 5031 Datejust/Semi-Bubble back

Been interested in purchasing a 5031 DJ but spoke to my AD watch smith and he says the watch has to be sent to RSC for servicing which will set me back 2000-2500 USD. Does anyone if there is other possibilities regarding servicing in Europe? Maybe a reputable watch smith or another “service center”?

Here is some pic of the watch. Service dial? Any other obvious feedback from you guys?

The case is way over polished? Or just angle of photo?

I would not buy that particular watch. Wait for a better example.

Thanks, something besides the over polished case that bugs you?

Even though I’ll probably don’t intend to go ahead with the purchase of this watch I am really keen on getting someone to comment on my question that I posted in my first post:

Does anyone if there is other possibilities regarding servicing in Europe? Maybe a reputable watch smith or another “service center”?
