Oysterquartz bracelet comfort

5-digit reference Oyster bracelets have never gotten along with my wrist. The clasp is never centered, and so the watch always wants to pull away from the center of my wrist. Current-generation Rolex bracelets are fine, because an extra link can be removed from the 6 o'clock side.

Now I'm looking at a Oysterquartz 17014 with a Jubilee-type bracelet. The Oysterquartz bracelets are uniquely awesome and don't look like they will wear the same as a regular 5-digit bracelet.

My question is for those who are familiar with both regular 5-digit DateJust bracelets and Oysterquartz bracelets: does this same non-centered problem exist? The problem that makes 5-digit owners do things like pull permanent links off of their bracelets to make them comfortable?

Basically I'm trying to decide between a 126234 (which I have tried on and I know will be comfy, especially with the new Easylink Jubilee) or a 17014, which is less expensive and very cool-looking, but of uncertain comfort.

Hi Im not super familiar with the 5 digit non-oq bracelets, but I have a 17000 and 17014, each with 13 links, and Ive never had an issue with the clasp coming uncentered.

The 17010 bracelet (on the 17014) is very comfortable. I think you’ll find it much better than the oyster.

At the time it's was considered better made than the Datejust.

I have a PP 5066 rubber sized right love it over my metal Rolex maybe not my president though. Go for the rubber but get sized right !!!

I have the OQ 19018 and it it very comfortable!

I have both a 116610 and an OQ 17000. Don't have the same issues as your describe, but will say the 17000 clasp has the ability to make micro adjustments. Given that the 17014 is from the same "family," I assume those same adjustments can be made on the 17014 clasp. The 17014 is not for everyone, but if you can get your hands on a clean one, I highly recommend becoming part of the exclusive OQ family :)

Go with what you've tried on and know will be comfortable...for this amount of money, you deserve a watch that fits and feels good on your wrist.
