Movie: Uncut Gem Starring Adam Sandler

I'm watching Uncut Gem on Netflix. So far 15 minutes in and the movie is very intriguing.

What did you think after 135 minutes?

I fought the urge to leave the theater throughout the entire film - thought is was terrible. Just goes to show you that one man's garbage...

On the other hand, I though Parasite was awesome.

UPDATE:

Finished watching the movie. It was really good. Give it a 7.5 out of 10. Better than most of the stuff coming out of Hollywood these days.

I saw it on Christmas Eve, didn't care for it at all. I have a hard time with Adam Sandler in a dramatic role and those fake teeth creeped me out.

Sandler was great but the opal with the magic basketball power was a bit far fetched for me. That aspect of the story could have been a bit more realistic.

I made the mistake of putting it on too late so I have like 45 more minutes left, but it was really good so far; He played very well

I loved it.

Nice watch placements for AP and Rolex, among others.

This is my closest impersonation of Adam Sandler as Howard Ratner.

Since i dont have a YG/diamond encrusted Rolex and gold ferragamos.

I watched about 3/4 of it out of respect of Happy Gilmore, err, Adam Sandler.... sorry, but it was total trash, IMHO. The pacing was bad, there barely was a story, the performances were awful (Sandler’s in particular: screaming every line and swearing is not “drama”). Total waste of time.

The only thing remotely good was Kevin Garnett, who was not bad, which was cool to see, since most athletes are terrible actors.

It was giving me anxiety as well, but then I thought, you know, that's good acting if his demeanor and personality can make me feel that. It's not a great movie by any means, but it was entertaining. 6/10

I liked it, but a bit stressful. I mean not even a New Yorker talks like he did... If I talked like him I'd have a heart attack after 10 min.
