Anyone else notice rolexallday and Rolex2020 were both new, both from Toronto, and both banned on the same day?

Well, Canada did just recently legalize marijuana, so maybe there's a pattern here?

Ask her to join this forum.

Guaranteed she will get hooked, in less than a day!

Edit: Again, not to kick a man, when he's down....didn't notice the ban....

I feel your pain OP. My wife has no interest is high end watches and yes she thinks I am crazy. I have tried for several years to buy her one and she had ZERO interest. Also that means she has little appreciation for a watch of this caliber.
About a year ago, she said I think I would like a new watch (she wears I guess what you would call costume watches?) So I was excited and again offered to get her a Rolex or the like...She said absolutely not. So I told her to that I would show here a plethora of watches of all price range and so forth and she would pick based ONLY on what she liked no matter the price.
So I mixed in some high end models with some of the $200 ones like she has worn in the past. She chose a Michael Kors. This was sacrilege for me, but I bought her what she wanted. Here is the bottom line, if someone is not into it or does not appreciate it, don't force it on them.

My wife likes her Apple Watch. She actually used my mom's two tone DateJust when here Apple watch was getting repaired and loved the Jubilee bracelet, but can't fathom the thought of being away from her Apple Watch..

I noticed this too haha. Same style of writing, poor grammar and all. Very likely the same person. Even used similar statements.

Or maybe stop trying to force a watch on your wife. Not everyone likes watches.

You just want her to get into watches so you can buy more watches.

Find out what she is interested in...hobbies and get her things from that...

you have hobbies and there is nothing wrong with that...should not feel guilty!

Never force a woman

Ps most women seem to like Cartier

Just get her a watch or one of their gold bracelets

Otherwise if she’s not materialistic spend the money you were putting on a watch on a holiday to somewhere amazing for her

Not sure why people lament that their wife does not want a Rolex. Few women really care about high end timepieces like guys do anyway. My wife's into fitness and just loves her Garmin Vivoactive 4 at 1/24th the price of my sub. I'm thrilled about that too !

I totally get it. My wife was the same way, couldn't understand why I'd pay that much, and why I needed more than one. On the one hand I knew she was missing out. And on the other hand it made it harder for me to justifty my Rolex buying obsession!

What turned the tide was I kept taking her to AD's and having her try them on "just for fun". That's when she discovered that they make watches with diamonds in them. Then she started dropping in to AD's on her own (what a shock that was) until she picked out her dream watch -- a RG/SS DJ31 with diamond bezel and markers, and a Rose dial. I was totally surprised by this development, but I went with it.

I bought it for her in secret, and gave it to her a few months later for Christmas. She was totally surprised, and it was the first time I can remember where a gift I gave her made her cry! (In a good way type of cry). Since then she hasn't taken it off except to sleep and now she "gets it" and just loves it. And (to be totally selfish) she now is encouraging me to get my latest obsession a Hulk!

So my advice is to just bring her along and have her try on watches, and maybe she'll catch the bug too! It's fun to be able to share this hobby with your partner!

-Dan

EDITED to Add: My wife was the type of person who never wore ANY watch, just couldn't be bothered. Yesterday she looked at it to find out what the date was, and I couldn't resist commenting "nice to be able to just look at your wrist to find out the date, isn't it?" She gave me a big grin in reply.

Show her the gray prices, and then show her the price you are buying it at from your A.D. Then ‘’say it’s like they’re giving me money!’’

Worked for my Daytona.

tell her you got one for your mistress, so its only fair she gets one too.

That will change her mind pretty quickly. Although I can't guarantee exactly what it will change her mind about.

My wife says the same thing and is not really into watches. ..so I bought her a lady version of my own watch and she LOVES it.. I have a 116610 and she has a matching Tudor Lady-Sub. Problem solved.
